UMB0-01 Device Set Up - Google Chrome Cast

This is a manual for Lookr APK installation on Chromecast with a Google TV device


STEP 1. 

Power & Hardware Connection Set Up



Contains Chromecast x1, remote controller x1, power adaptor x1, power cable x1, controller battery x2






Step 1 - Connect Chromecast to TV/screen






Step 2 - Connect the power, and Chromecast will auto-start

Note: Check the hardware connection or TV signal source if the screen shows "No signal"


Startup
Follow the steps of Chormecast setup



Step 1 - Bind controller with Chromecast





Step 2 - Select Language ( Able to change this afterward)






( Optional ) Scan QRCode for Google Home. Select "Set up on TV instead" to skip






Step 3 - Connect to network







Step 4 - The system will auto-start to run the update for a few minutes






Step 5 - After updated, click Continue






Step 6 - Sign in with Google Email





Step 7 - Allow Google to search across all your apps ( Able to change this afterward)






Step 8 - Set up the controller for advanced control, the system will install build-in apps at the same time  ( Able to change this afterward)






Step 9 - Chromecast start-up completed







STEP 2. 


Install The Lookr app Via The Google Store

Note: Due to Google TV policy, GooglePlay app can't be searched directly. Following are the steps to find the Lookr app and install





Step 1 - Use the controller to the top right "Setting" icon






Step 2 - Find "Apps"






Step 3 - Find "Google Play Store"






Step 4 - Search for "Lookr Digital Signage"






Step 5 - Allow Lookr to access the device's location





Step 6 - Allow Lookr to access photos and media






Step 7 - Login in with your Kabob account









STEP 3. 
Auto Launch Setup

Note: Due to Android policy, apk isn't allowed to change Android level settings. The following are the manual steps to auto-launch the Lookr app once Chromecast is turned on.




Step 1 - Find Settings






Step 2 - Find Apps






Step 3 - Find "Special app access"






Step 4 - Find "Display over other apps"






Step 5 - Find "Lookr" and enable the switch like the below image





After this setting, you may try to reboot the device power and make sure the Lookr app auto-appears.
